If you ain't get it by now, it wasn't for you.

I didn't believe in aliens until this one school dance. There was no denying that round, orange globe over my school well after sundown; gone within the blink of an eye, just as it appeared.

I didn't believe there could be that much hate until I opened the front door to a black king snake at the age of eight.

I didn't believe in witchcraft until I escorted her out that night, opening the door to a walkway covered in centipedes; the tiny, brown ones. Covered. The walkway was maybe twelve feet long. Couldn't see a lick of cement. My skin was crawling as we crunched them underfoot, walking to her car. We questioned our grip on reality and I think were both just horrified, really. I looked up from the outside of her car and saw an at least four foot tall white owl in the tree directly above us. Snow white without a blemish or imperfection. It felt so evil. I had to tell her about it and that I felt she should leave. I wish it ended there.

I'm aware now, though; and I won't apologize for that.

If you wrote me off because you can't understand me, understand that I was always above your level of comprehension. If you're threatened by this one charge, this one gift, then you should get to running, because you really ain't seen nothing yet. I AM great. It's my time to shine.

Nothing and no one can stop me under The Most High God. His will be done, through me and to me.

A MATTER OF MIND

"It is most definitely the thought that counts.

Thoughts are powerful manifestations of the mind, and when they are combined with a definite

intention, diligence, and an unassailable yearning for their translation into their physical counterpart.

The discovery of this truth does not come about in an instant. It manifests little by little, beginning with an insatiable aspiration to realize one’s intentions.

A prime characteristic of this yearning must be that it is definite. These intentions must be set precisely and with as much detail as necessary to evoke a specific result.

When this fascination, or impulse of thought, first flashes into one’s mind they may be in no position to act upon it. Complications often stand in the way, such as lack of influence or lack of financial support. These obstacles are enough to impede a majority of people from making any attempt to realize their aspirations. One must be so determined to find a way to fulfill their wishes that they finally decide to take a leap of faith, rather than be defeated.

A dreamer once arrived in Houston, Texas, intent on transforming his life and elevating his name in association with one of the largest entertainment firms in the world. His initial impression on those he had come to seek was imbalanced, with some recognizing his potential while others did not. The dreamer’s appearance may have been ordinary, but there was something in the expression of his face which conveyed the impression that he was determined to get what he had come after. When someone really wants something so deeply that they are willing to stake their entire future on a single toss of the dice in order to get it, they are sure to win. The young man was given the opportunity he asked for, because it was apparent that he had made up his mind to stand by until he succeeded. Later events proved that this was not an error.

What one says on any occasion is far less important than that which is thought. Appearances were not what got him his start in the land of opportunity, for that was definitely against him. It was what he thought that counted.

The dreamer did not get his chance to shine right away. He did get a chance to work within an organization, at a very minimal wage, completing tasks that were trivial to those he had come to seek, but were extremely important to him, because they gave him the opportunity to display his talent where those he intended could see it. As the months rolled on, it seemed that nothing had occurred to bring the dreamer closer to the position he erected in his mind as his absolute key goal, but something important was happening. He was constantly intensifying his longing to become a world-wide phenomenon like his employer.

Psychologists have correctly said that “when one is truly ready for a thing, it puts in its appearance.”

The dreamer was ready to be associated with greatness; moreover, he was determined to remain vigilant until he received his heart’s desires.

When you are uncertain of your improvement, do not say to yourself, “Ah well, what’s the use? I guess I’ll change my mind and try something less challenging.” Instead say, “I came here to realize my purpose, and I will accomplish this if it takes the remainder of my life.” And meant it! The course of history would be so greatly changed if only people would accept their God-given purpose, and stand by that purpose until it had time to become an all-consuming obsession!

Maybe the young dreamer did not know it at the time, but his bulldog determination, his unrelenting focus on a single desire was destined to cast aside all opposition and bring him the fortune he sought.

One of the tricks of opportunity is: when opportunity knocks, it often appears in a different form, and from a different direction than expected. It slips into your life like a thief in the night, often disguised in the form of misfortune, or temporary defeat. This may be why so many fail to recognize opportunity.

The mogul had just decided to blend genres of performance art and created a new masterpiece. His yes men were not enthusiastic over the new styling and did not believe it would be marketable to their target audience. In this moment, the dreamer recognized his opportunity. It had crept in quietly, hidden in a composition which interested no one in the room but the dreamer and the mogul.

The dreamer knew he could pull off the new performance piece. He suggested this to the mogul, and was granted his chance. The dreamer did sell the sound. In fact, he sold it so successfully that the mogul gave him a contract to record and market it all over the world. The dreamer flourished out of that business association and made himself rich, but of more importance, he proved that one really may manifest their abundance.

The value of the dreamer’s original aspiration may never be known. The amount, whatever it is, becomes insignificant when compared with the greater asset he acquired in the form of definite knowledge that an ethereal impulse of thought can be transmuted into its physical counterpart by the application of certain principles.

The dreamer literally thought himself into an association with the mogul! He thought himself into a fortune. He had little to start with, except the capacity to know what he wanted, and the determination to stick with that desire until he realized it.

He had no money to begin with. He had very little education. He had no influence. What he did have was initiative, faith, and the will to win. With these intangible forces, he made himself an indispensable ally of the greatest mentor he ever had."

The Power of Butterflies

All you have to do is remember the Spirit manifests things out of itself in the physical realm by transmuting into the thing it wishes to become. In the realm of the living, an identical process takes place. Humanity was granted a creative power, one requiring usage aligned with the intention of its design. Infinite Intelligence manifests things through thoughts; thoughts precede creation, and humanity must utilize this method of thought translation for similar manifestations.

You can attract only that which you are mentally prepared to receive and see yourself to be, without doubt. A consistent stream of conscious thought submitted to the subconscious mind will magnetize those thoughts, attracting a steady manifestation of their physical equivalent. A wavering stream of conscious thought will attract their equivalent manifestations or conditions. One must be consistent in the attitude of the mind. never fluctuating. Blessings are not released with uncertainty.

We are immersed in an aura of our own thinking, resultant of all that we have ever thought, said, and done. This aura dictates the direction of our lives, attracting what is similar, and repelling what is dissimilar. We are drawn to what we believe ourselves to be. Before we were enlightened, we allowed all thoughts to reside within our subconscious mind, but understanding the law allows us to cast away those negative illusions and embody that which we consciously desire for ourselves marinating on those desires solely, and silently being drawn towards them.

It is within our authority to do as we will with this law, drawing what we desire forth, so long as we disrobe from the old in order to dawn the new. No change is without price, and this is not a challenge for the weak, but for the strong, self-reliant soul; one who will find a result worthy of all the trouble.

Labor is not what is called for, and may be avoided. With the knowledge of one Universal Power, there is no struggle, but wisdom and knowledge, granting a calm that allows for the sight of what is true. With a consistent, unrelenting desire to think what we want to think, regardless of all false evidence to the contrary. Seek not the seen, but the unseen.

The true measure of leadership is influence-

• An entrepreneur may be skilled at seeing opportunity, but needs to be talented in expressing their vision.
• Intelligence/education do not define a leader.
• Titles do not define leaders; leaders define titles.

The true culmination of a leader is-

• Character - who they are.
• Intuition - what they feel.
• Knowledge - what they know.
• Relationships - who they know.
• Experience - where they've been.
• Ability - what they can do.

Leadership develops daily, not in a day.

• Continually invest in your leadership development and growth over time is inevitable.
• The capacity to develop and improve one's skills is what distinguishes leaders from their followers.
• Successful leaders are students, and their education is ongoing; a result of self-discipline and perseverance.
• The secret of success in life is that one be ready for their time when it comes.
• Champions don't become champions in the ring; they are merely recognized there.

Anyone can steer a ship, but it takes a leader to chart the course.

• First-rate leaders never forget about those depending on them when they chart the course to the goal.

Exceptional leaders-

• Draw on past experiences - past successes and failures are valuable for gains in knowledge and wisdom.
• Examine the conditions before making commitments - count costs for all involved.

Leaders add value by serving others.

• Leaders can not repeatedly break trust with their followers and continue to influence them.
• Fess up to your mistakes.
• Exemplify competence, connection and character.
• Character communicates consistency.
• Character communicates potential.
• Character communicates respect.

Leaders gain respect through-

• Natural leadership ability - if you possess it, people will want to follow you.
• Respect for others - give respect and get respect.
• Courage - doing what is right, even with the risk of failure.
• Success - leading the team to victory enables them to believe they can do it again.
• Loyalty - sticking with the team until the job is done and looking out for their followers best interests, even when it hurts the leader personally.
• Value added to others - followers value leaders who add value to them.

People naturally follow leaders stronger than themselves.

Leaders evaluate everything with a leadership bias.

Leadership intuition is the ability of the leader to read what's going on. Leaders must also be readers of-

• Their situation - picking up all the details.
• Trends - always being a few steps ahead.
• Their resources - constant awareness of what is at their disposal.
• People - understanding people's hopes, fears and concerns.
• Themselves - awareness of one's own strengths and weaknesses; avoiding hindering progress.

Who you are is who you attract.

If you want to attract better people, become the type of person you desire to attract.

Leaders touch a heart before they ask for a hand.

For leaders to be effective, they need to connect with the people.

• Believe in who you are and where you are going.
• Communicate with openness and sincerity.
• Know your audience - learn their names, history and dreams.
• Practice what you preach.
• Adapt to others; don't expect them to adapt to you.
• Focus on others, not yourself.
• Communicate with people because you believe they have value.
• Leaders are dealers in hope.

Be an initiator- take the first step towards others and then make the effort to continue building relationships.

To lead yourself, use your head; to lead others, use your heart.

A leader's potential is determined by those closest to him.

Nobody does anything great alone, no do leaders succeed alone. What makes the difference is the leader's inner circle.

When evaluating members of the inner circle, one might ask-

• Do they have high influence with others?
• Do they possess strengths in your areas of weakness?
• Do they hold a strategic position in the organization?
• Do they add value to you and the organization?
• Do they positively impact other inner circle members?

Once you've reached your capacity in time and energy, the only way you can increase your impact is through others.

Surround yourself with top-performers that extend your influence beyond your reach and help you to grow into a better leader.

If you want to become successful, you have to be willing to empower others.

Leaders fail to empower others because-

• Mission provides purpose.

Leadership success requires continual sacrifice, constant improvement, and ongoing sacrifice.

The higher the level of leadership, the greater the sacrifice.

Timing is often the difference between success and failure in an endeavor.

Every time a leader makes a move, there are really only four outcomes:
